         Purpose:

         Hebron-News is a weekly newsletter focusing on the Jewish
         community of Hebron, home to the second holiest site in
         Judaism.  The newsletter will include (i) news reports
         monitoring and providing a direct and immediate link to
         events unfolding in Hebron, (ii) editorials on issues
         affecting the city of Hebron and the Jewish community of
         Hebron, (iii) a weekly report from the Shavei Hebron Yeshiva,
         (iv) access to a library archives on topics directed to
         Hebron in historical, religious and political spheres.

         The primary objective of Hebron-News is to strengthen the
         bond between world Jewry and the Jewish community of Hebron.
         Presently, the Jewish community of Hebron, though small in
         number, has a disproportionate and significant impact on the
         political relations between Jews and Arabs, and on Jewish
         spiritual life through the presence of the Tomb of the
         Patriarchs (Mearat Hamachpela), home of the burial site of
         the Patriarc and Matriarchs of the Jewish people, purchased
         by Abraham.
