DESCRIPTION:
This is a CHAT database, (Conversational Hypertext Access Technology).
This system is programmed to answer questions, which the users asks,
about certain health areas. Useful subjects for teachers are the sections
on Aids, Epilepsy, and sex education. I was pleasantly surprised with
the detailed answers I received to my questions. With the proper supervision,
it could be used with all age levels.
EVALUATION:
This up to date resource could be a great asset to anyone teaching health.
Teachers who do not feel secure teaching health can brush up on their
knowledge by asking the computer questions. Or if students are
uncomfortable asking the teacher, they can ask the computer instead.
However, I do express caution in allowing students to use this site
without adult supervision.
