         Purpose:

         Here's an opportunity for _everyone_ to participate in Daf
         Yomi! Whether or not you are learning Daf Yomi, this new list
         allows you to enjoy selected "nuggets" of Jewish Law and
         Thought, based upon the seven pages of Talmud that are
         studied world-wide each week.  The author of this column is
         Rabbi Mendel Weinbach of Jerusalem.  He is a well-known
         educator (a Dean of Ohr Somayach Institutions), public
         speaker, and author of numerous books.
