         Purpose:


         I'd like to introduce myself - Shani Simkovitz, regional
         superviser  for some 30  kindergartens and early  childhood
         day care programs in Gush Etzion.
         I would be very interested to share ideas  and exchange
         experiences, to hear and learn about early childhood
         education programs throughout  the world. As my specialty is
         in Jewish early childhood education, I am  particularly
         interested in making contacts with other professionals in the
         field.

         As such, the list " child-ed " will deal with the following
         and other related subjects:

         1) Programs for day care programs
         2) Special problems in day care education
         3) Jewish identity for young children
         4) How to build and expand spirituality among young children
